The community service programme is designed to provide young adults (19 – 25) with a living experience in a developing country. Participants come to live and learn from the people they are sharing life with, rather than coming as experts with all the answers. The volunteer will be placed with a local community and lives with a family or in an institution assigned by Interculture South Africa in close co-operation with the local community organisation.
