My name is Brandur Óli, and I am currently in Owosso, Michigan, for my exchange year. Since arriving in August, I have made a lot of friends and quickly become involved in school life. I have joined many clubs and sports, including cross country, which has given me a very diverse friend group and allowed me to gain insight into different perspectives and experiences. I am also close friends with the other AFS exchange students in Michigan, which has been a great source of support and connection during my year abroad. I’ve also been able to continue pursuing my interest in acting, as I earned one of the main roles in two of the high school plays, which has been an especially meaningful and rewarding part of my exchange year so far.
