AFS Argentina looks forward to welcoming participants from all countries who wish to take a gap year. In this program, you will stay with a local host family who will receive a stipend and will introduce you to the community, help you feel comfortable, and assist you in making friends. You will be enrolled in the 12th grade and have the opportunity to attend a public university as an auditor during the second semester if you choose to do so. Additionally, you will have frequent contact with AFS volunteers and Staff, who will be available to support you whenever needed. Their goal is to help you adapt smoothly to your new environment, and they will organize engaging activities during your various orientation sessions. Participants will be hosted in large cities with public universities (which are free of charge), allowing them the option to attend university instead of high school during the second semester.
